Nestled in front of the Thavorn Palm Beach Resort, on the Karon Beach Road, is a welcome addition to the already eclectic collection of cafes and bars that line the strip. Coffee Talk truly is a tiny piece of heaven in paradise.

With the tag line “Life is Too Short for Bad Coffee,” Coffee Talk offers up a tasty choice of freshly brewed coffees and teas, as well as refreshing juices and smoothies. Made with fresh, exotic fruits menu items include such delights as Blueberry Lavender Tea and the Ginger Fresh. On an exceptionally hot Phuket day, we tried the Passion Fresh. Ingredients of Passion Fruit, syrup and soda served over ice cooled us down and tantalized our taste buds. The Passion Fresh became our instant favorite drink offered on the menu.

If it’s breakfast that you are after, Coffee Talk will satisfy your hunger. Breakfast is served all day with both breakfast sets and an a la carte menu available. Fresh juices, tropical fruits and an abundance of freshly baked breads and pastries are available; orange or strawberry jam is also available upon request. Eggs are also on the breakfast menu, and for those with a bigger appetite, you can choose between bacon and ham.

Coffee Talk is a fantastic place to take a break from the heat. With a prime location just across from Karon Beach, Coffee Talk provides the perfect ambience for an afternoon coffee or tea break. The smooth, wooden interiors and vintage decorations are cute, cozy and comfortable. The staff is unbelievably friendly, and happy to chat or recommend items from their decadent dessert menu. Scones, brownies, soft Macadamia Chocolate Cookies and the delicious Chocolate Lava Ice Cream are sure to tame your sweet tooth!

The outside terrace of Coffee Talk is definitely the place to relax and take in one of Karon Beach’s famous sunsets. Aperitifs & Liquers are on hand, as well as familiar cocktails such as Gin Fizz, Bloody Mary, Mai Tai and Tequila Sunrise. However, we recommend the “Sawasdee Thailand.” Inspired by the Land of Smiles, this cocktail includes Bacardi Rum & Pineapple Juice and is definitely a tropical treat. It’s important to note that some creatively named Mocktails are also available; Watermelon Wave, Coconut Coast and Chimper’s Blend to be exact!

Open daily from 9:00am – 11:00pm, Coffee Talk is well worth checking out if you are in the vicinity of Karon Beach. It’s a great little spot, and quickly becoming one of our favorite coffee shops on the island. Why? Life is Too Short for Bad Coffee!
