The inaugural Thailand Yacht Show 2016 is being held on the 11-14 February at Ao Po Grand Marina. The show is going to encompass yachts of all sizes but will also represent the region’s first superyacht charter show.
As such, in addition to the confirmed fleet of yachts on display, the show will provide facilities for much larger vessels than in other previous industry events in the area; superyachts of 100m will be able to come into the Marina.
The event is being staged by the organisers of the Singapore Yacht Show and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and the Tourism Authority in Thailand have now created a partnership with the Marine Department to support it.
Among the yachts on show will be the 32m Benetti, M/Y Nanou. She will be presented by brokerage house Burgess Yachts.
Other yachts at the show include the 51m charter Phinisi yacht, S/Y Dunia Baru showcased by 37 South, and the MCY 70 with Simpson Marine.
A Thai yacht forum will be held at Ao Po Grand Marina the day before the show begins, providing updates on regulatory changes, the region’s cruising grounds and its growing infrastructure.
