The very first Laguna Phuket Hospitality Challenge – a charity golf tournament – will take place in Phuket on July 15 at the award-winning Laguna Championship Golf Course.

The aim is to have a competitive feel to the event as hospitality professionals from Phuket and Krabi come together to fight it out in teams, to see who is the best in the region.

This is an ideal opportunity for local hoteliers, restaurateurs, bars and club owners, GMs and anyone and everyone who is involved in the hospitality trade to come together at one event, it is also a great networking opportunity too.

Mark Cameron, the organiser from Asean Events and Asian Golf Events, said, “I have always wanted to do something which is great fun and will really have a competitive feel, when one hotel is trying to beat another hotel at something.

“They are always competing for business, so why not a fun game of golf and of course network with like-minded professionals at the same time, and best of all, raise money for children’s charities.”

Thanks goes out to Paul Wilson from Laguna Golf who didn’t hesitate for a second to jump in as the Host Sponsor for the event. Thanks also to all the Laguna Phuket establishments for their kind support of the event by sponsoring holes and providing the food and drink, and of course not forgetting our old chums Bob and Darren from Tai Pan and everyone’s favourite hole sponsor Hooters.

If you want to participate in this year’s event, please visit the websites at http://www.asiangolfevents.com or http://www.asean-events.com and contact Mark or Ti Cameron.
